    Speedy Hire is the UK’s largest hire provider with
    the widest range of tools and specialist equipment
    for the construction, infrastructure and industrial markets.

    With over 3,500 product lines encompassing tools,
    lifting and powered access equipment through
    Speedy’s extensive network of 200 depots, the
    company has the ability to source the right solution
    for any construction or development project – no matter
    how large or how specialised a customer’s requirement is.

    The challenge

    Following on from a difficult trading period within
    the construction industry, Speedy decided to make
    a significant shift in customer service and service
    offering to achieve standout in the market,
    ultimately increasing its revenue.

    They were looking to target the London construction
    market as the initial pilot.

    The solution

    The Capital Commitment campaign was brought to life by Really B2B to address the challenges
    of strategic accounts, key accounts and unmanaged, SME construction firms.

    Pre-campaign research identified these challenges as being product availability and the speed of
    delivery and collection. A customer promise was devised guaranteeing same-day delivery on any of
    Speedy’s customers’ top 50 products when ordered before 3pm, or one week’s free hire if
    Speedy failed to deliver.
