B2B Marketing Ignite – Insights and Accolades
Yesterday saw thousands of enthusiastic B2B marketers descend on London’s Business Design Centre for the B2B Marketing Ignite event. A combination of conference, networking opportunity, and awards ceremony, this occasion attracted the industry’s best and brightest stars for a day-long agenda filled with insights and information. With input from experts across a variety of disciplines, the information and advice was flying thick and fast. And of course, we sent a selection of our marketing directors and managers along to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
Topics and takeaways
In a dynamic industry that’s seeing changes and developments on a daily basis, how is it possible to discuss and present ideas on every facet of B2B marketing? Easy – simply host 50 sessions covering everything from engagement and customer experience, to acceleration and martech. With so much going on at any one time, it was necessary for us to send delegates to different ‘streams’ in order to get all the gold nuggets of insight – which is exactly what they did. Over the coming weeks we’ll distil their findings down to their purest form and share them with you via this blog. So, if you’re interested in hearing the latest news and information on any of the following topics, make sure you subscribe or check back regularly.

Awards and winners – (spoiler alert) we won a biggie!
Following the closing comments by B2B Marketing’s Editor-in-Chief, Joel Harrison, the Ignite event stepped it up a gear and became an awards ceremony for the industry’s brightest stars. Offering accolades for achievements such as ‘marketer of the year’ and ‘outstanding contribution to B2B marketing’, things began to heat up. Shortlisted for the title of ‘Client relationship manager of the year’ was Really B2B’s very own Account Director, Gemma Roalf. As expected, anxiety levels began to increase and all of the shortlisted marketers waited with baited breath. Then it happened… our Gemma scooped the title of ‘Client relationship manager of the year’ and a beautiful trophy to go with it. Suffice to say, she has yet to come down from cloud nine, but we couldn’t be happier for her. This award was a great end to a fantastic day, and we’ll be sure to share our learnings with you over the next few weeks.
